About ENRIO<\/h3>\n

The European Network of Research Integrity Offices<\/a> (ENRIO) brings together experts who are dealing with questions about research integrity.<\/p>\n

32 member organisations\u00a0within 23 European countries are currently joining ENRIO. Membership is open to representatives of national offices and national organisations as well as other relevant bodies or groups that support the goal of ENRIO with interests in and responsibility for matters of research integrity. ENRIO is an informal network.<\/p>\n

ENRIO was founded right after the 1st World Conference on Research Integrity in Lisbon, Portugal in 2007.\u00a0It began as an initiative by the then director of the UK Research Integrity Office (UKRIO) and six persons who\u00a0are being concerned\u00a0with\u00a0research integrity. They decided\u00a0to establish an (informal) European Network to enhance research integrity within Europe in a world with growing international cooperation.<\/p>\n

ENRIO aims to:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Promoting the exchange of information and experiences between the members
\n\u2022 Share information and good practices in raising awareness
\n\u2022 Share knowledge in handling allegations of research misconduct
\n\u2022 Promoting\u00a0training and education with regard to research integrity
\n\u2022 Supporting and advising countries that lack a national structure
\n\u2022 Build up\u00a0relationship with other organisations with European or global interests in research integrity<\/p>\n
