4th International Colloquium for Research and Action on Academic Integrity
“How to Implement a Culture of Integrity in Higher Education Institutions?”
Thursday June 19 and Friday 20, 2025
Online
We are pleased to invite you to the 4th Colloquium for Research and Action on Academic Integrity, which will be held online on June 19 and 20, 2025, under the theme “How to Implement a Culture of Integrity in Higher Education Institutions?”.
The virtual environment will enable researchers, scholars, academic leaders, administrators and representatives from funding institutions to connect globally as we share our experiences and hopes for the future in an academic and friendly environment.
With each colloquium, we build together the scientific integrity movement. This year, we will focus on the culture of integrity in higher education institutions.
In the face of academic social irresponsibility, this theme urges us to combine research and action to address questions such as:
- How do we build a culture of academic responsibility within our institutions?
- How can institutions measure their effectiveness in promoting social responsibility among faculty and students?
- What are the barriers to implementing academic social responsibility initiatives in higher education, and how can they be overcome?
- In what ways can higher education institutions work together on this critical issue?
- What are the organizational, psychological, economic, and other obstacles to implementing a culture of integrity?
- Which external institutional actors beyond academia can help us, and what strategies can they employ?
- How effective are current legal frameworks and policies in fostering further improvements?
Each presentation will be allocated a maximum of 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for discussion. We aim to create opportunities for meaningful dialogue, ensuring we leave sufficient room for discussion to make the most of our time together.
The Colloquium will conclude with a closing roundtable bringing together voices from different countries to discuss the future of the university.
The Colloquium is a space to bring together people from different backgrounds and disciplines to foster dialogue around the common challenges we face in promoting research integrity. By fostering this sense of community, we hope to create lasting collaborations that extend well beyond the colloquium itself.
We look forward to your participation and to building a more responsible academic community together!
